I love towns or cities that have an challenge for visitors to find items within the city to encourage visitors to see various parts of the city. St. John had such a challenge. The object was to go through the "Salmon Run" and find all the painted fish at various places in the downtown core of the city. By following a walking map, it was quite easy to find the fish and along the way you saw other sights of interest. Each fish was painted with a different theme. They were all wonderfully done. Quite talented artists.
Remember in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, we followed the clues throughout the City in order to find the mice located in specific historical spots. This one had clues to look for in order to find the mice. Along the way we learned all about the City of Charlottetown. It was great fun! To see our post about the mouse hunt click here
Below are photos of both sides of most of the fish. I believe we missed six. Wow! That many...

While walking through the streets of St. John, we came across Sean Yoro painting a mural on the wall of a downtown building. It was a live-painting experience. We were lucky to see him in action. It looked like he was almost finished the art piece.

There is always something to see in all towns. Watch for events in your local papers, visitor centre, library and town website for things in your area.
