Mont Tremblant is open year round. The best time to visit depends upon your interests. For skiers, the winter months are the favourite time to visit Mont Tremblant but those like us who do not ski, activities, shopping and sightseeing are available.
Here we are in another large chair on October 14, 2022 in the
Village of Tremblant.
Walking along the main street, we came across a
unique garden installation in front of the grocery store.
This automobile is made of plants and was very interesting.
The things you can do with plants. Amazing!
Down the street sits another plant installation of
a tourist or is it a local resident resting while out shopping?
Canadian fall colours at the resort village.
Travelling up the cable car to the top of the mountain.
We had a clear view of the colours.
View of the resort below while traveling up the mountain.
We weren't even to the top when we entered the fog zone
and we could not see anything.
Behind me is the fog as we ascend to a higher elevation.
Sitting in "the red chair" at the top of the mountain
Others are also sitting looking out over the fog.
This must be what it is like inside a cloud.
At the top of the mountain it was an eerie scene.
This would have been an excellent location as well as the day's
weather conditions for a murder mystery or horror film.
The look of abandonment. What could happen here...
Sign storage on a wall.
Travelling down in the cable car we emerge
from the fog and again can see the last of the fall colours.
The resort and ski area have many trails and offer
many events such as concerts, etc.
On the way home, we stopped at the Mont Tremblant Old Village and had a tea/coffee at a sidewalk cafe. It was nice to just sit and observe the comings and goings of people.
We drove a different route going home and we saw this lovely lake and had to stop for a photo.
A lovely reflection of the mountains in this peaceful lake.
Orange coloured leaves on this tree was a sample of colours
in the area. It looks like a Group of Seven landscape!
Quebec is fortunate to have the Laurentian Mountains and one end of the Appalachian Mountain range within its borders. This has provided the ideal conditions for many great ski resorts, hiking routes and cottage areas. What a wonderful country we live in!
