Meet Peanut

🥜 Meet Peanut🥜

Peanut came to us a little more than a week ago. It was quick transaction. Peanut's owner,  Dave Wilson was a Senior Director of Shelter Health & Wellness with the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society.  He passed away last December. David's colleagues promised to give his two cats a good home. I guess they were finding it difficult to find a forever home for his two cats (aged 12 and 19 years old) so they sent out a message to the members of their foster program. Kiyoung the older one was taken in by a foster family to finish her life in a loving home and Peanut (12 years old) came to us.

Peanut came to us via car all the way from Orangeville, Ontario to Gatineau, Quebec. It just so happened that a employee of the OSPCA was coming to Quebec so she would hand deliver Peanut to us. It was only a few days from the call out to members to when she arrived. We are glad to have Peanut with us. She is a very shy cat and apparently she has always been this way. Her day, so far, consists of hiding in either her crate or a bed in a box is another room. Each evening, we pick her up and sit with her while petting and brushing her. She immediately starts purring and relaxes on our lap. She has also started to knead and to lick our hands. All good signs that she is liking us.💖 She is  very gentle and is a lovely cat and will be a nice addition to our family.

She loves sitting on our lap being brushed and petted
Such a cute face. The tip of nose looks like she
dripped her nose in an ink well.
Look at those large paws.
