A few days after Tiana was adopted we got two large 9 month old males. Baguette and Rye were so friendly. Baguette was more "in your face", rubbing his face in yours. Each one had loud purrs and loved to sit on your lap. Of course, being brothers, they stuck together playing and sleeping. We had a good time with them. For the first week or so, we had to give them medication for a bad cough. They were heavy runners. The neighbours could hear them running up and down the stairs and across the hardwood floors but they were so cute.

Baguette and Rye |

Baguette loved being in your face, on your shoulder, anywhere just to get your attention. |

"I see you!" |
|
"Me too!" |
Everyone knows that sleeping is a favourite pastime for all cats. One day, we came downstairs and found the two of them sleeping on the love seat, side by side on their backs. Baguette always loved lying on his back but this was too funny. They both stayed in that position for close to an hour.

Resting by the front door. They never showed that they wanted to go out. I wouldn't blame them. Some days it was so cold with minus 10 degrees C. |

Helping me iron one of my sewing projects. |

"I like this chair". |

"I'm relaxed" |

Watching fish TV. They tried but could never catch them. |

Brotherly love. Together forever! |
We were waiting for blood test results to see if they had Feline Leukemia which apparently some of their siblings had. Finally, we heard that their tests were negative and ready for adoption. They were so good together, we hoped that they would be adopted together but no such luck. The same day we took them in, Baguette was adopted and it only took a few more days for Rye to find his "forever home".
Next! The life of a foster parent is very interesting. Each foster cat is different and again we have been so lucky to have had very lovable ones.
