A Welcome Escape from Winter - Part 2

Thomas Edison 1847-1931
Thomas Edison and Henry Ford met at a conference in 1896 when Ford was 33 years old and Edison was 49.  They would become good friends and purchased neighbouring winter vacation homes in Florida.  These homes, as well as Edison's botanical gardens and laboratories are open to the public and contain many interesting exhibits showcasing the lives and discoveries of these two remarkable men. Click here to see more about the Edison and Ford estates
