Beautiful Ditches

Beautiful lupin standing tall in the country-side ditches,

Swaying back and forth as the gentle wind pitches.

Beautiful pinks and purples make for lovely scenery,

Popping up in the local greenery.

Beautiful lupin, you are only here for a short time,

But for now you dance to your own mime.

     In June, the lupins are in full bloom in the ditches around the country-side in P.E.I. They are beautiful and quite a surprise due to their abundance. You can get all sorts of postcards, pictures and paintings of them. They are painted on jars and bottles for the tourists to purchase. You can even buy a packet of seeds to take home and try to grow them. Lupins are one more thing that make P.E.I. wonderful. Too bad that these beautiful flowers are only here for a very short time.
